  • First, my positive review of the book there are a LOT of recipes and the recipes are organized in order meal type, i.e., breakfast, soups, appetizers, etc. There is a mouthwatering photo of shrimp and mango tacos on the front cover and a few nice photos on the back cover. That's it. Those are the positives.

    I purchased this because the description said it had meal plans, shopping lists and was a great beginners guide. There are no meal plans, there are no shopping lists, although there are a list of ketogenic foods and foods to avoid. Really, this is information you can get anywhere on the internet, which the authors probably did. The chief reason for giving this book one star is that THERE ARE NO COLOR PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE MEALS! The photos on the front and back cover give the impression that the cookbook will have similar photos of the prepared recipes inside. Nope. There are about 20 BLACK and WHITE photos in a 243-page cookbook, mostly appearing at the beginning of each section. How in the world can you create and publish a cookbook without color photographs showing the prepared recipes or even the ingredients? I could have easily printed out recipes for keto meals from any recipe site and put them in a binder. In fact, that's what I should have done. This cookbook was a waste of money. And the worse part for me - besides ordering this book in the first place - is that when I set up the return through , I was traveling and missed the cut-off for returning the book. Now I have a cookbook that I'll never use.
